Therapeutic approach
Relational. Integrative. Trauma-informed.
My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that our experiences and relationships shape how we understand ourselves, connect with others, and move through the world.
I work primarily through relational and psychodynamic lenses — often looking beyond the immediate symptom to understand the patterns, experiences, relationships, attachment needs, and circumstances underneath it.
I bring trauma-informed, attachment-based, and systems perspectives to my work. When appropriate, I integrate EMDR and other evidence-informed interventions based on the individual.
I believe therapy should be collaborative rather than prescriptive. You bring the expertise of having lived your life. I bring clinical knowledge, perspective, curiosity, and a willingness to help you look at things differently.
The therapeutic relationship
Therapy should feel like a relationship, not an appointment.
My style is warm, genuine, collaborative, and engaged. There is room here for complexity, humor, difficult conversations, uncertainty, and the parts of being human that don't fit neatly into a diagnosis or treatment plan. Therapy is something we do together.
Warm
You don't have to perform, impress, or know exactly what to say.
Collaborative
Therapy isn't something being done to you. We work together.
Thoughtful
We'll look beyond symptoms to understand patterns, relationships, experiences, and context.
Genuine
Therapy can be professional without feeling impersonal.
